hey everyone, I recently got scammed out of almost a grand by airbnb. I had been planning on getting my teeth fixed because after struggling with homeless for a few years. My mattress is fifth-hand and so beaten up it worsens my chronic pain so severely I can't move much of the day, let alone get work done (as seen in the tweets I included).
Any "affordable" mattress would degrade on me as a fat person in like 6 months (I had to get rid of my old one for that reason).
I don't have solid figures but the dental care and mattress will come to at least 2-3 thousand dollars. I'm so tired of having to beg online but I'm even more tired of crying every day from the pain. If you can chip in at all, I appreciate it.

crazy how India can have the largest labor strike in world history and it doesn’t even make the news in the US. it’s almost like they don’t want us to know we can demand better working conditions

And most of the western world hasn’t even heard about it
1 out of every 30 people in the entire WORLD participated in this strike and you haven’t heard about it
4x more people participated than the number of people in the world who have tested positive for covid and you haven’t heard about it
This should be a massive story. Why haven’t you heard about it? Theres a very specific reason.
I feel like the fact it’s being spearheaded by Sikhs, an oppressed minority in South Asia, might also have something to do with it.
